INTRODUCTION:
Derrick Hopkins is a combo forward with good athleticism capable of scoring at three levels, although he needs to work on his three-point shooting where he has room for improvement. He showed good passing skills (1.3 assists per game), confirming his strong basketball IQ. If he improves his ball handling, he can become a valuable player in 1v1 situations from the dribble. In the defensive phase he is very effective on the ball and also in rotations, and he remains active on the help side and passing lanes (1.6 steals per game) while also contributing in rebounding situations.
