INTRODUCTION

Kong Kong in his NCAA career played in Division II with Rochester, Emporia State and with Kentucky State where he established himself with a spot in the starting-five alongside teammates like Montrell Jacobs and Jalon Andrews. In his first professional season, he played in Oklahoma with the Thunder’s G-League affiliate team. He is originally from South Sudan.

Kong Kong is a forward who combines good athleticism with an important wingspan that allows him to be an impactful defender. Capable of defending multiple roles, he disrupts passing lanes and is a valuable rim protector (1.3 blocks per game with Kentucky State) but can struggle against stronger opponents due to not having a very physical body and not being adept at physical contact. Offensively, he is a solid shooter from beyond the three-point arc in catch and shoot situations (35.6% on 3.2 attempts) and can run the court quickly in fast breaks. He struggles more when starting off the dribble, tending to have handling problems and difficulties understanding defensive help, leading to some avoidable turnovers. Overall, he is a player with great potential who can become a sure-impact 3&D player and could be an excellent fit for a team in a middle-tier European league.
