INTRODUCTION
Devonte Bandoo after two seasons at a Community College transferred to Baylor, where he played a significant role off the bench from 2018 to 2020. Since then, he has played in the G-League, CEBL in Canada, and made a short appearance with the Leicester Riders in England. He also participated with the Canadian national team in the 2022 FIBA Americup.
Devonte Bandoo is a guard with a reliable three-point shot and makes him a constant threat from the perimeter (43.5% on 7 attempts in the last two seasons in CEBL). He’s skilled at moving off the ball thanks to a good understanding of the game. Bandoo is a hard worker, having added a 1v1 off the dribble to his game despite not having a strong inclination to attack the basket. He needs to improve as a handler and in his reads, as he cannot currently play too many minutes as a point guard. There is also room for growth in the defensive phase, where he has the tools to make an impact. Overall, he is a mature player, reliable in shooting, and capable of immediately providing a good contribution at a medium European level.
