Jaywaun Washington is a forward with good physical presence capable of passing the ball well and with a solid mid-range shot, but he needs to improve his three-point shooting to open up the floor and be more versatile. He has good handling for his size and the ability to attack 1vs1 off the dribble. Decent in pick and roll situations, he can improve his quickness in reading offensive sets. Defensively, his combination of size and dynamism allows him to guard multiple positions and be active on passing lanes, in addition to providing solid help in rebounding.
