INTRODUCTION
Malik Willingham has spent his career at Minnesota State Mankato, where he scored over 1,700 points and led the team to a national title in his final year. After a season in which he received three MVP awards, he is ready for professional basketball. He is a well-sized combo guard with significant scoring skills off the dribble, boasting a reliable three-point shot (37.5% on 5.6 attempts throughout his NCAA career), even in catch and shoot situations. Malik has room for improvement when attacking the basket for layups. His offensive versatility is complemented by good passing skills (4.3 assists in his senior season) and the ability to read pick and rolls, although he is not a traditional floor general. Defensively, his combination of size and good athleticism allows him to guard multiple types of opponents.
